Wendy’s is shaking up its dessert game this spring, unveiling a bold new lineup of six Frosty flavors that go beyond the classic chocolate and vanilla. Introducing “Frosty Swirls” and “Frosty Fusions,” these new offerings mark the biggest expansion of the Frosty menu in decades. With collaborations featuring iconic brands like Oreo and Pop-Tarts, Wendy’s is aiming to redefine what a fast-food dessert can be.

Starting April 11, today, Wendy’s app users will get early access to the new Frosty Swirls, with a nationwide rollout in restaurants on April 15. These Swirls allow customers to enhance their traditional chocolate or vanilla Frosty with a choice of three sauces: Strawberry, Caramel, or Brownie Batter. It’s a simple yet effective way to add a personalized touch to a beloved treat.

Taking things a step further, Wendy’s will launch Frosty Fusions on May 12. These indulgent creations combine the Swirl sauces with mix-ins for a more complex flavor experience. The lineup includes:

  • Pop-Tarts Strawberry Frosty Fusion: Featuring strawberry sauce and Pop-Tarts Crunchy Poppers.
  • Oreo Brownie Batter Frosty Fusion: Combining brownie batter sauce with Oreo pieces.
  • Caramel Crunch Frosty Fusion: Blending caramel sauce with toffee pieces.

These Fusions are designed to offer a more decadent and customizable dessert option for Frosty fans.

As Wendy’s introduces these new flavors, it’s also saying goodbye to the Thin Mints Frosty, a fan-favorite that debuted in February. This flavor, inspired by Girl Scout cookies, will be discontinued on April 14 to make room for the new offerings. While some may mourn its departure, the arrival of Swirls and Fusions promises exciting new taste experiences.

Wendy’s expansion of its Frosty lineup is more than just a menu update; it’s a strategic move to compete with other fast-food giants offering customizable desserts, like McDonald’s McFlurry and Dairy Queen’s Blizzard. By introducing these new options, Wendy’s is not only refreshing its brand but also appealing to a broader range of dessert lovers.
