Turmeric lemonade is a fresh and refreshing drink that relieves depression and anxiety thanks to its beneficial properties. Turmeric, in fact, is a spice with numerous beneficial properties, excellent for fighting anxiety, and it has also a diuretic and draining effect. Finding turmeric on the market is now very simple and it can be used in the kitchen to flavor risottos or meat-based second courses. Today we tried it in lemonade and the result convinced us! Preparing turmeric lemonade is easy and it takes just a few minutes: let's see how!
Clean the lemons and the orange under running water and squeeze the juice (1).
Grate the fresh turmeric root (2).
Boil a liter of water in a saucepan (3).
Pour the hot water into a jug, add the lemon juice, the orange juice, the grated turmeric root and finally a spoonful of honey. Mix the ingredients until the honey is completely melted and let the turmeric lemonade cool before enjoying it during the day.
For a tastier lemonade rich in beneficial effects, you can also add freshly grated ginger root, in fact ginger adds a strong flavor and, combined with turmeric, it increases the diuretic and antioxidant effects of your lemonade.
As an alternative to turmeric root you can use 4 teaspoons of turmeric powder.
Turmeric lemonade is the best for those suffering from anxiety or depression: the advice is to consume 2/3 glasses per day, possibly on an empty stomach.
