Actually, the name of the dish is not particularly original and inviting, but in the United Kingdom, a land not exactly famous for its gastronomic tradition, this recipe has become almost as famous as her.
The dish is called "bolognese pasta with zucchini" and here we present you the recipe step by step, even if we are almost certain that you will not want to replicate it at home.
The process requires cooking the zucchini together with the onion for four hours, which, at least according to Meghan, should turn the ingredients into a velvety and tasty sauce.
We start by cutting the zucchini and onions coarsely into small pieces.
Then fry the onions in a few tablespoons of olive oil (it is not indicated if it should be extra-virgin, but unfortunately we do not think so) until they become golden brown.
At this point add the zucchini, a vegetable nut and a cup of water, and lower the flame.
Then cover everything and let it cook for four hours (just like the grandma's sauce?).
Meghan's recipe says that every half hour the sauce should be checked to prevent it from sticking or burning, and also to prevent water from evaporating, or any other event that could in any way affect the perfect execution of this queen dish.
After four hours of cooking, if you are brave enough, lift the lid: the water will be evaporated and you should have a homogeneous sauce.
Now it comes the moment of cooking pasta: Duchess Meghan adds a little lemon juice in the pot (why?) and boils it. We do not know how long but we hope less than four hours of poor zucchini.
Add the pasta to the mixture, also a good handful of Parmesan flakes, a nice sprinkling of chilli (a great classic) and you're done.
This is the recipe of "bolognese pasta with zucchini" by the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle: forgive us if we don’t feel to say “enjoy your meal”.
