They are a light and fluffy bite that’s always a hit at brunch! They are the perfect way to start your day!
INGREDIENTS
100 ml water
200 ml milk
7g dry yeast
400g flour
1 tsp sugar
Sunflower oil
Powdered sugar
METHOD
In a small saucepan, mix water with milk and heat on low for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and add dry yeast.
Stir until the yeast is almost dissolved.
Add 1 teaspoon of sugar and continue to stir for 20 seconds.
Add flour to the bowl.
Add the yeast mixture and start kneading the dough.
If the dough is too sticky, add more flour.
Grease a bowl with a little oil and let the dough stand until it doubles.
Grease the work surface and the rolling pin with oil.
Transfer the dough to a greased surface and use a rolling pin to create a rectangle 1 cm thick.
Start cutting out donuts using a ring or glass.
Heat the sunflower oil in a deep pan.
Fry donuts until golden brown on both sides.
Put on a paper towel.
Roll in powdered sugar and serve.
