Strawberries – use fresh, fully ripened strawberries for best results.
To make these Strawberry Jello Parfaits, you first need to prepare the jello according to package instructions. One half of this mixture will be used as is, while the other half will be mixed with cool whip (to form a light pink layer). These two mixtures are then poured into glasses, alternating between the two, making sure to chill for at least 1 hour between layers. Topped with whipped cool whip, and serve!
To make these Jello Parfaits without sugar, look for sugar-free jello. For a dairy-free version, use coconut cream. The Jello contains gelatin which causes it to set.
Variations: instead of multiple layers, create two layers with one being strawberry jello, and the other strawberry pudding mix.
Toppings: instead of fresh strawberries, you can also sprinkle the Jello Parfaits with freeze-dried strawberries. Other fruits will also taste great: banana, pineapple, kiwi, blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries.
