Pasta – You can use any pasta of choice. Larger pieces are easy for grabbing (which makes a better appetizer), but if you’re making them as a snack any type will do: penne, macaroni, or even bowties!
Oil – use any oil suitable for frying at high temperatures. These include canola, peanut, sunflower, corn oil, and more.
Cornstarch – this creates extra texture on the pasta.
Spices – use any spices you like, but make sure to check out our suggestions for spice combinations below!
These Pasta Chips are quick to whip up! Simply cover the paste pieces with cornstarch and fry in preheated oil. While they’re hot, cover with your choice of spices, and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
If you want to make this gluten-free, simply swap the plain pasta for a gluten-free variety.
You can also bake these in the oven (for a healthier option). Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F/200°C for 15-18 minutes, while giving the baking tray a shake every now and then.
To make these in the Airfryer, toss the pasta with a bit of olive oil and spices and air fry at 400°F/200°C for 12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway.
Use a variety of pasta shapes for this recipe. Large pieces make great appetizers, while penne, macaroni, or bowties will make a great snack.
