Michelle has left the White House for about four years now but she still manages to keep all of us on our toes. From her bestselling books to her being an opinionated activist, Michelle sure has a lot up her sleeves.
Her newest is a children cooking show set to air come March via Netflix. The mother of two dropped the exciting news early February through her official Twitter account, @MichelleObama
The tweet reads:
"I’m beyond thrilled to share that on March 16, I’ll be launching a new show on @Netflix called Waffles + Mochi! I'm excited for families and children everywhere to join us on our adventures as we discover, cook, and eat delicious food from all over the world.
The announcement is accompanied by adorable pictures of Michelle and the puppets. This corroborates reports that the series will feature preschoolers tagging along as the adorable puppets, Waffles and Mochi, go on culinary adventures around the world.
Michelle will also reportedly make appearances as the supermarket owner ready to offer help to the novice chefs, finding ingredients or tackling recipes as they enjoy their adventurous journey.
Sounds like fun! You can trust Michelle to find a way to incorporate her love and respect for cultures worldwide into a cooking show.
The series will be set in a gorgeous garden brimming with greenery and cultivation of all kinds — the sight alone is sure to keep the young viewers enthralled.
We know we'll be watching, will you?
