Tips for making Breaded Fried Carrots

You can add aromatic herbs and spices of your choice, such as paprika (sweet or spicy), turmeric or curry.

You can also replace cornstarch with breadcrumbs, even flavored, and parmesan cheese with pecorino cheese, for a stronger taste.

If you want to soften carrots before frying, pour some lemon juice over the vegetables and let it stand for about 10-15 minutes.

How to store Fried Carrots

Breaded fried carrots should be enjoyed hot and freshly fried. Any type of storage is not recommended.

Carrots
500 g
Grated parmesan cheese
100 g
Fine salt
a pinch
Cornstarch
1 tsp
Parsley
Rosemary
Peanut oil

How to make Fried Carrots

Peel the carrots and rinse them under running water. Finally dry them thoroughly.

Cut them into sticks. First cut them into regular slices ½ centimeter thick, and then cut them into strips.

Collect the grated parmesan cheese in a bowl, then chop the parsley and rosemary, then add them to the cheese.

Also add the cornstarch and salt, and mix the breading well.

Transfer a few carrots at a time to bowl.

Mix well with your hands making sure that each stick is evenly coated with the breading.

Fill a deep skillet ⅔ full with peanut oil. Heat.

Dip the carrots when the oil is boiling and let them cook for a few minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Drain the fried carrots on absorbent paper and serve them hot. Enjoy!
