Cut the bread into 1 cm thick slices, dip them in the milk to which you have added a pinch of salt, and soak them on both sides, but not completely. Now pass the slices of bread in the flour, so as to cover the whole surface, then in the beaten eggs with Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, a little milk, salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the slices of bread, browning them on both sides. Take them and place them on kitchen paper, so as to remove excess oil. Then put on a serving dish and serve. Your fried bread is ready to be tasted.
If you prefer a softer inside of the bread, put more milk. On the contrary, if you prefer it more crispy, decrease the amount of milk. The same is true also for the time the bread slices are soaked: it depends on how much they are stale. Set yourself at the moment.
Those who prefer a quicker preparation, or for those with intolerance problems, can make fried bread without eggs. In this case, pass the slices of bread into the flour, then into the milk and again into the flour mixed with grated Parmesan cheese. Finally fry and serve. If instead you want to prepare the fried bread without milk, pass it in beaten eggs and then fry it directly: it will be crispy and tasty.
To taste fried bread in all its crunchiness, the advice is to consume it at the moment. However, you can store it for one day in an airtight container.
