The Waf Cafe has warmed hearts all over with their special story of kindness. Like most other French cafes, it serves specialty coffee drinks but what sets them apart from the many others is that they welcome abandoned dogs. The abandoned dogs have special time to bond with the cafe's customers and many have found their forever homes this way.

The Waf Cafe is located in Lille, northern France and has quickly become popular for its unique service. If the menu doesn't convince you to visit, then the ambience will!
The restaurant proudly boasts of being the first dog café in Europe! You read that right — you can enjoy your favorite assortments of tea, cookies or a simple brunch while doting on some of the cutest doggos. Doesn't that sound like a dream?
The restaurant permanently welcomes dogs that have been abandoned and customers are allowed to play with or simply pet them.
This has been the norm in the cafe for five years since it was established. There is no limit to this kindness with the animals receiving special care at the cafe until they finally find them forever home.
So far, the restaurant has successfully matched over 100 dogs with their forever homes!
The Waf Cafe celebrates the laudable achievement by hanging pictures of dogs that once lived there and are now adopted, on their walls.
If you're living in France or planning to travel soon, then you want to schedule a visit to the Waf Cafe. You'll be charged a 10€ entry fee but it covers unlimited tea, coffee and squash, a smoothie, hot chocolate and a soda. If you'd prefer cakes and smoothies instead, you'd have to pay an extra 3€.
For the amazing job they're doing, that sounds like a steal!
