Tips

To make perfect, equally-sized cookies, you can use a large ice cream scoop.

You can use frozen berries for this recipe. Don’t thaw the berries first, use them while frozen.

Give these Strawberry Cookies another layer of flavor, by mixing a few teaspoons of cream cheese into the cookie dough.

Add white chocolate chips for a touch of sweetness and texture. You can also drizzle the baked and cooled cookies with melted chocolate.

The recipe can also be made with dried strawberries or dried cranberries.

Want to make the cookie recipe your own? Add any of the following ingredients:

  • Chocolate chips (white if you like them to be sweet, or dark chocolate if you prefer a less sweet cookie)
  • Other berries: blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries will all work
  • Nuts: pecans, walnuts, and chopped almonds will all work
  • Dried coconut

How to Store Strawberry Cookies

Because the cookies contain fresh fruit, they should be stored in the fridge. Keep them in an airtight container, in the fridge, for up to one week.

Can You Freeze Strawberry Cookies

Yes, the baked Strawberry Cookies can be frozen. Place the baked and cooled cookies on a baking tray and add them to the freezer. Once frozen, transfer them to a sealable bag and place them in the freezer again. Freeze for up to 3 months.  Thaw them at room temperature and reheat them in the microwave or oven. The cookie dough can also be frozen for up to 3 months.

Can I Make It Ahead of Time?

Yes! The cookie dough balls can be prepared in advance and stored in the fridge for up to 5 days. You can also freeze the cookie dough balls and bake them directly from frozen, just make sure to increase the baking time by 5 minutes.
