This is that kind of snack preparation about which everyone will talk about because it is just so addictive and delicious in taste. You will be surprised to experience the ease with which this very fancy snack can be prepared.
It practically requires a minimum amount of efforts and some of the simplest ingredients to assemble and then deep-fry this yummy food. You can replace the crabmeat with any other cooked fish or chicken meat to prepare this dish.
Add the shredded meat into a bowl. Add the chives, cilantro, cream cheese, steak sauce, and mix everything until well combined. Heat the oil for frying. Place the wonton sheets over a clean and dry surface.
Put about ½ a teaspoon of the meat mixture at the center of the sheet and then use a brush to spread the beaten egg all over the wonton. Now, fold the sheet into half to enclose the meat mixture in it so that the wonton sheet resembles a triangle.
Now, lightly dab the egg at the center of the triangle or over the filling to fold one end of the triangle over it. Repeat it with the other end of the triangle as well so that small parcels are formed. Repeat this process with the remaining sheets until all the meat mixture is used.
Fry the wonton parcels on low to medium heat until the wontons are crisp and evenly brown in color. Serve hot with sweet chili sauce and enjoy!
Be very careful while handling the wonton sheets as they are very delicate and tend to break easily. Do not add any water to the cream cheese filling. So, try to remove any excess water from both the cream cheese and cooked meat before using these ingredients for preparing the filling mixture. Crack open the egg carefully into the bowl so that no eggshells are accidentally added to it.
