Christmas tree pizza is a delicious and scenographic recipe, perfect to be served on the occasion of a buffet, an aperitif or as an appetizer for lunch on December 25th. It is made of soft and tasty mini pizzas, lined up on a baking tray to form a Christmas tree. Once seasoned with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and oregano, they are baked in the oven and served hot and irresistible. Everybody will love them!

For the dough; in a large bowl mix the flour, yeast and salt, then gradually add the water (1).

Start mixing (2) and pour in a little water at a time until you get a soft but workable mixture.

Also add the extra virgin olive oil (3) and knead again.

Transfer the dough onto a floured work surface (4).

Work it again to obtain a soft and homogeneous dough (5); wrap it with cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator for about half an hour.

Divide the dough into pieces weighing about 30 grams (6).

Shape some small balls (7).

Arrange the balls on a dripping pan, lined with parchment paper, and mash them lightly (8). Place them by adding a ball on each row to form a tree.

Season each pizza in the center with a teaspoon of tomato puree, and also with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of salt (9).
