Cherry Bread Ingredients

Sugar – use granulated sugar for the bread.

Powdered sugar – use the powdered sugar for the glaze, don’t substitute with granulated sugar.

Milk – use full-fat milk.

Extract – vanilla is used for the bread, and almond extract for the glaze; you can also use almond extract for the bread.

Maraschino cherries – don’t use other types of cherries. Make sure to use a cherry brand with red dye, otherwise your cherry bread won’t be as pink. If you cannot find a brand that contains dye, you can add pink food coloring.

How To Make Cherry Bread

Whisk together the sugar, milk, oil, egg, and vanilla. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
