Tips

Make the Cheeseburger Crescent Ring meatier by adding pepperoni, ham, cooked bacon, or Italian sausage. You can also use ground chicken or turkey instead of ground beef.

Use any of your favorite cheeses: feta cheese, goat’s cheese, cheddar cheese, Swiss cheese, or gruyere.

If you can’t find puff pastry in store, you can make your own, or use crescent roll dough. A shortcrust pastry will also work but will turn out more crumbly.

Serve the Cheeseburger Crescent Ring with ketchup, mustard, or make your own burger dipping sauce. Simply whisk together 1 cup mayo, ½ cup ketchup, ¼ cup yellow mustard, 1 tsp onion flakes, ½ tsp granulated garlic, a splash of vinegar, and hot sauce to taste. Or you can simply mix ½ cup mayo with ¼ cup ketchup.

Serve alongside shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and French fries.

Prepare the cheeseburger filling ahead of time and keep it in the refrigerator. Assemble, bake, and serve when ready.

How To Store Cheeseburger Crescent Ring

We doubt there will be any leftovers for this one, but in case there is, you can store them in an airtight container, in the fridge, for up to 4 days.

Reheat in the oven to make them crispier, the microwave will make the dough soggy.

Ingredients

Olive oil
1 tbsp
Ground beef
500 g
salt and pepper to taste
onion, diced
100 g
Mustard
1 tbsp
Ketchup
1 tbsp
Puff pastry
500 g
cheese, cut in half
6 slices
gherkins
12
egg, beaten
1
Sesame seeds

How To Make Cheeseburger Crescent Ring

Heat a pan over high heat and add the olive oil followed by the ground beef and cook for 3 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper and cook for another 2 minutes. Add in the diced onion and cook on for another 3 minutes. Stir in the mustard and ketchup and set aside to cool. Cover with the remaining sauce and sprinkle over the parmesan cheese.

Take 500g of puff pastry roll out to 3-5mm and cut out 12 triangles that measure 8cm by 20cm.

Arrange these triangles like a clock leaving a circle in the center.

Add the cooked beef mix in a circle, this should take around 1 Tbsp per triangle.

Cover the beef with a slice of cheese.

Add the gherkins.

Fold over each pastry tip and then brush with beaten egg.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake at 180°C or 350°F for 15 minutes. Serve with a sauce.

Notes

Instead of puff pastry, you can also use store-bought crescent rolls. You will need 2 tubes (8 oz each) for this recipe.
