Beer tiramisu is a delicious, boozy variant of the classic tiramisu. A creamy, delicate and particularly fragrant dessert, perfect for beer lovers, but also for those who want to surprise their guests with a creative and original end of the meal.
The ladyfingers biscuits are soaked with light beer, which replaces the coffee of the original version, and then stuffed in layers with a soft cream, made without eggs, but with mascarpone cheese, fresh cream, sugar and more beer.
You can prepare the dessert in a single larger pan or in small cups and glasses, for elegant and delicious single portions.
You can use dark beer instead of light beer, if you want to get a stronger taste.
If you don't have ladyfingers, the beer tiramisu can also be made with slices of sponge cake or biscuits of various kinds, both white and flavored with cocoa.
For people with a sweet tooth, you can also enrich the layers with chocolate chips and chopped hazelnuts. Follow our simple recipe step by step.
The beer tiramisu can be stored in the refrigerator, covered on the surface with a sheet of cling film, for 3 days. You can freeze it for 1 month.
In a large bowl or in a stand mixer, put the mascarpone cheese and sugar, then add the fresh cream (1).
Add also the beer (2).
Whip everything with an electric whisk for a few minutes, until you get a velvety and foamy cream (3). Collect it in a piping bag if you want to make single-portion glasses.
In the meantime, start composing the tiramisu. Dip the ladyfingers in the beer (4).
Spread a thin layer of cream on the bottom of the chosen pan and form the first layer of ladyfinger biscuits (5).
Continue with a generous layer of cream (6) and so on for 3 or 4 layers, until all the ingredients are used up.
Distribute the bitter cocoa on the surface, sieving it with a colander (7).
The same procedure applies to the single-portion version (8).
Keep the beer tiramisu in the refrigerator until ready to serve. (9)
