Ingredients

head cauliflower
1, cut into florets
Egg
1 large
salt
½ teaspoon
Black pepper powder
¼ teaspoon
Water
1 tablespoon
Bread crumbs
1 cup
sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon
Hot sauce
1 teaspoon
low-fat mayonnaise
¼ cup
Plain Yogurt
¼ cup thick
Fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon

This recipe is an extremely healthy take on the regular cauliflower fritters. The bang bang sauce makes the crispy oven baked cauliflower fritters so appealing and appetizing.

Use panko or regular bread crumbs to achieve the color of your preference. If you wish, you can replace cauliflower with any protein of your choice and follow the same steps to prepare your own version of this sauce to be served with the decadent bang bang sauce!

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 225 degrees C and line a baking tray with aluminum foil. Whisk the egg with salt, black pepper, and water. Carefully dip the cauliflower florets one at a time in the egg mixture to coat it well from all sides and then dip it in the bread crumbs to cover the floret well.

Place the bread crumbs covered cauliflower floret on the prepared baking tray. Repeat with the remaining florets, egg mixture, and bread crumbs and place the florets a little apart from each other. Bake the cauliflower for about 15 to 20 minutes or until it is crisp and brown in color.

Meanwhile, whisk the sweet chili sauce, hot sauce, mayonnaise, yogurt, and cilantro in a small bowl. Serve hot cauliflower florets with the bang bang sauce drizzled generously over it and enjoy!

Tips

You can use either panko bread crumbs or the regular ones to prepare this dish as panko coated florets will turn out a little crispier.
