Ingredients

apples (without waste)
500 grams
Water
100 ml (2/5 cup)
Ground cinnamon
1 tsp
raw cane sugar (optional)
1 tsp

Apple butter is a fruit-only preserve. It is made by slowly and very sweet cooking of the apples which, together with a little water, ground cinnamon and a pinch of raw cane sugar, are blended with an immersion mixer. At the end the result is a thick, shiny and fat-free cream, which recalls the consistency reminds of the homonymous milk-based ingredient. Versatile and very easy to make at home, the apple butter can be used in many ways in cooking: it can be used in sweet doughs, to prepare soft and aromatic cakes, or served as a sauce for meats and cheeses; but it is so good that it can simply be spread on bread for breakfast or as a snack. So let’s find out how to prepare a perfect apple butter by following our recipe step by step.
