Tips for Making the Best Homemade Apple Bread

Use room-temperature ingredients to make your apple bread. This will help the batter to come together easily and bake evenly.

Mix in additional baking spices like ginger, allspice, and clove for a spicier apple bread.

Don't overmix your batter. It will make the apple bread dense and chewy.

Feel free to leave out the walnuts or swap them for different types of nuts like almonds, pecans, macadamia nuts, dried fruit, or chocolate chips.

Garnish the top of the loaf with coarse sugar for a hint of crunch.

Give your loaf enough time to cool before slicing. This will prevent gumminess in the center and make it easier to slice.
