If you’re looking for a tasty, satisfying side that will be ready in no time, look no further than these crispy roasted potatoes. It’s a quick, easy side dish for roasted potatoes made in the Airfryer.
Air fryer potatoes are healthier than regular roasted potatoes made in the oven as it uses much less oil. Unlike classic roast potatoes which usually take an hour to make, these air fryer roasted potatoes are much quicker to get to the dinner table. But don’t think that they lack in any way.
Crispy and golden on the outside, and beautifully tender on the inside. To make it, you simply chop the potatoes, coat in seasoning (use our blend, or make our own), and place in the Airfryer. It couldn’t be easier!
Potatoes – for best results, use Yukon Golds, red potatoes, or russet potatoes—these will give you the fluffiest potatoes with a crispy texture.
Oil – using olive oil provides the best flavor and crisp.
Seasoning – feel free to use the spices in the recipe, or make your own blend. You can even use store-bought blends like fajita or taco seasoning, Italian seasoning, or Cajun spice.
Start by preparing the potatoes. Wash and slice the potatoes. Transfer the chopped potatoes to a mixing bowl and add the seasoning. Mix it well, making sure that all the potatoes are coated with the seasoning.
Spray the air fryer basket with baking spray, and add the seasoned potatoes. Bake at 400°F/200°C for golden or crispy.
Depending on the size of the potato cubes, it will take about 15-20 minutes until they are cooked through.
If you want to make these potatoes ahead of time, you can parboil them before air frying and then store them in the fridge. Once you’re ready to cook them, cover with seasoning and air fry for 10 minutes.
For a rustic look, you can leave the skin on, otherwise feel free to peel the potatoes first.
Add onion powder and pepper to the seasoning for added flavor.
For another variation, use sweet potatoes instead.
You can leave out the oil, but the potatoes won’t be as crispy. Other alternatives to oil include butter or lard.
If you want to leave the potatoes whole, you’ll need to parboil them first to ensure that they will cook through in the Airfryer.
