Nothing beats a pan of freshly baked cinnamon rolls! If you want cinnamon rolls from scratch but don’t have the time to make homemade dough, this is the perfect recipe. These cinnamon rolls are done from start to finish in 30 minutes or less, making this a quick and easy recipe that will keep people coming back for more. These cinnamon rolls are perfect for breakfast on Christmas day or for any special occasion!

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Brush a small casserole dish with some of the melted butter. Set the melted butter aside.

In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.

Pop the crescent roll dough canister and unroll the dough into a rectangular shape. Do this carefully so you do not tear the perforated markings on the dough.

Brush the dough with some melted butter with a pastry brush – about 1 tsp or more. Leave ¼ inch border free of any butter.

Sprinkle the top of the dough with the cinnamon sugar mixture, again leaving ¼” border free of any sugar mixture. Spread the sugar evenly. Drizzle the rest of the butter on top of the sugar mixture until semi-saturated.

Roll the dough tightly into a log. Slice it evenly into 6-8 pieces.

Bake for 20-25 minutes until the dough is golden brown on the top.

While the rolls bake, prepare the glaze by whisking the butter and cream cheese together until smooth. Add the lemon juice and vanilla and stir until combined. Add the powdered sugar and mix until fully incorporated.

Once the rolls are done baking immediately pour the glaze on top of the rolls evenly.

Notes

Prepare the rolls ahead of time by completing all of the steps up until baking. Once you’re ready to bake them, take them out of the fridge while you preheat the oven and bake once preheated. Store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 5 days. To reheat, place on a microwave-safe plate and heat for 15-20 seconds. Be careful to not overheat.
